Exercise during your day

Tap your feet to music you are listening to in the background of your day. This stretches the part of your leg necessary for lifting your leg when walking, diminishing foot drop. When you are standing at the sink peeling vegetables, do squats. With any food prep, when you’re standing stationary, do squats. Another exercise you can do when stationary is to stand on your weaker leg (we all have one) while keeping the strong leg bent like a flamingo. When you are brushing your teeth, do standing one-arm pushups against your bathroom wall. The more you can think creatively and begin to incorporate exercises into your everyday, the more you’ll feel successful and want to do more.
I’m challenging you this week to grow your brain through simple daily exercise. Be creative. Be unconventional. Yes, even a little silly in your creativity. No one’s watching or judging you; you’re at home. Just explain to your family what you’re doing so they can be supportive.
